In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure patients receive respectful, personalized support that promotes their well-being and comfort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse healthcare needs. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support Assist with catheter care, wound dressing changes, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver patient-centered care in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or post-acute settings Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and practicing basic life support when necessary Experience Prior experience working in medical-surgical units, critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, or emergency medicine settings is highly preferred Demonstrated experience in long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient service procedures is essential Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous Background working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus Certification as a CNA from an accredited program is required; additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support), phlebotomy skills, or hospice care experience are beneficial Familiarity with caring for pediatric patients (PICU or pediatrics) and geriatric populations enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support Join us to be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional patient care!
