HCA/CNA Wenatchee, WA 98801 $20
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with dementia, or those requiring hospice or memory care services. Candidates with experience in patient observation, medication administration, and supporting activities of daily living (ADLs) will thrive in this position. Duties Assist residents and clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure patient stability and report any abnormalities promptly. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in accordance with health regulations. Support medication management by administering prescribed medications accurately following HIPAA guidelines and care plans. Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, progress notes, and care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, performing light cleaning duties, and managing hazards within the care setting. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as nurses or social workers to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs. Experience Candidates should demonstrate prior experience in caregiving roles within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Experience working with individuals with dementia, or require hospice care is highly valued. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques—including vital signs—and the use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts is essential. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and adherence to HIPAA privacy standards is required. Successful applicants will have hands-on experience in providing comprehensive patient care while maintaining safety standards through CPR and first aid certifications. Prior work involving long-term care settings or social work practices will be considered advantageous. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable populations through compassionate caregiving.
