Full-Time 0.80 FTE (32 hours/week)

Work Schedule:

Nights, 11 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend

Job Description:

Responsible for providing patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Coordinates and processes department patient information; performs secretarial tasks, and maintains organized work flow of department. Functions as department receptionist, and responds to customer inquires or customer is referred to appropriate person(s).

Oconto Hospital and Medical Center:

Responsible for hospital patient registration process, chart processing and filing (ED, outpatient diagnostic, outpatient therapy, inpatients, sleep patients, and primary care clinic), and charge entry (ED, outpatient diagnostic, primary care clinic). Schedules patient appointments and reappointments for outpatient therapy and primary care clinic. Processes internal and external provider requests for patient information. Completes insurance verification as required by payors (outpatient diagnostic, inpatient, outpatient therapy). Enters payments as received by patients. Manages hospital telephone calls and communicates with appropriate staff and/or providers.
