Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age - if 16 or 17 waiver can be obtained with specific requirements Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions Must be able to perform all the requirements of the job description and have no lifting or bending restrictions that would affect the job requirements. Status:

The Resident Service Assistant is directly responsible to the Assisted Living Director/Director of Nursing.

Essential Job Functions:

Provides non-professional routine nursing care and light housekeeping duties for the tenants of Pine Ridge/Cedar Ridge Assisted Living in accordance with the facility and state/federal guidelines.

Specific Job Duties:

Demonstrates ability to perform nursing assistant duties as assigned Obtains pertinent information regarding residents and reports to appropriate personnel Demonstrates ability to plan and prioritize actions before starting resident cares Performs light housekeeping tasks such as changing linens Provides assistance with laundry tasks as necessary Performs procedures to meet individual resident needs for daily hygiene and appearance including, but not limited to, toileting, bathing, grooming, shaving, oral cares, and nail care Demonstrates proper techniques of lifting, transferring, and ambulating residents; including the use of mechanical lifts. Implements special care needs including incontinence cares, special skin care, catheter care, turning/positioning techniques, and use of adaptive equipment Performs restorative care and range of motion as instructed Assists with resident admissions, discharges, and room transfers as appropriate Sorts and passes resident mail Assists and encourages resident to take adequate diet, fluids, and supplements Recognizes physical distress and acts to provide relief for those residents Identifies and reports physical and psychological symptoms or spiritual needs to appropriate staff Allows residents the freedom of choice in details of daily living whenever possible Ensures residents rights are maintained at all times Reports any observed physical or verbal abuse to the supervisor immediately Encourages residents to participate in self care as appropriate Assists residents with the application of prosthetics Provides diversional activities as appropriate to meet resident needs Demonstrates effective and respectful communication with residents, families, and team members Demonstrates knowledge of, and adheres to, actions to assure resident and staff safety Demonstrates proper infection control procedures and practices Complies with rules and regulations of regulatory and surveying agencies Complies with facility policies including but not limited to attendance policy and personal electronics policy Maintains an active working relationship with nursing team and ancillary departments Promotes the concept of customer satisfaction and positive interpersonal relationships Participates in giving and receiving report from the other shift Attends scheduled training seminars, meetings, and in-services as appropriate Follows work assignments and/or work schedules as assigned Practices good personal hygiene and facility dress code Assumes added duties as assigned by the Director of Assisted Living or Director of Nursing Performs and assists with activities per activity calendar/activity daily sheets Certified Nursing Assistant- CNA Class Interest 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Hudson, WI 54016 Part-time Christian Community Homes and Services 34 reviews
