https://www.instagram.com/lifeatcw/ Provides clerical support for assigned nursing unit and performs Nursing Assistant duties under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Schedules diagnostic tests and therapists for patients and acts as a receptionist and resource person on the unit. May be assigned one role per shift or may be required to perform both roles during assigned shift. High School diploma or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required. Knowledge of basic medical terminology to understand ordering procedures for various patient tests, treatments and medications. Registered with the State of Wisconsin Registry for Nursing Assistants to be eligible for employment in the basic provider settings. Previous clerical and customer service experience required. Completion of a health unit coordinator program or other healthcare office experience preferred. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Possess and competently demonstrate core Care Partner skills as outlined in the skills competency checklist. Understands role of performing delegated acts. Possess willingness and initiative to successfully complete educational requirements and develop and learn new skills as required by the unit (i.e., phlebotomy, EKG, etc.). Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team. Possess rudimentary assessment and analytical skills in order to perform basic patient observations. Previous basic computer and keyboarding experience and skills preferred. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk when assisting with errands, to carry supplies and move equipment on wheels, and to transport patients in wheelchairs and cribs. Physical ability to lift, ambulate and position patients weighing up to 50 pounds. Will discuss specific unit during the interview process. Current openings include Day Surgery and West 9 Unit (Acute Care Short Stay)Schedule:
Part time Day shift weekdays only, no weekends - 24 hours/week Part time PM shift with weekday and weekend rotation - 20 hours/week Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
