Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Group Home Manager to lead and oversee operations at our community-based residential facility dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This energetic leader will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, foster a positive environment, and manage daily operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or long-term care, coupled with strong leadership skills to motivate staff and enhance resident well-being. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while managing a vibrant team committed to excellence. Duties Lead the overall management of the group home, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations related to developmental disabilities, assisted living, and memory care. Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized care plans for residents, including those requiring Alzheimer's and dementia-specific care. Supervise staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to promote a motivated and competent team. Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation in accordance with healthcare standards. Manage daily operations such as budgeting, inventory control, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents. Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, families, and community resources to support resident needs holistically. Monitor resident progress and adjust care strategies as needed to promote independence, safety, and quality of life. Experience Proven management experience within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Extensive background in long-term care environments including senior care, memory care units, or retirement homes. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading diverse teams in home & community care settings. Strong knowledge of care plans development for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and healthcare regulations governing residential care facilities. Experience managing budgets, financial records, and operational logistics effectively. Background in social work or related fields is advantageous for understanding resident-centered approaches.
