This vital role combines leadership, clinical expertise, and a passion for senior care, ensuring residents receive personalized support that promotes independence, health, and happiness. As a Wellness Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards while fostering a warm, engaging community environment. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and oversee personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, preferences, and medical conditions. Lead and supervise nursing staff and care teams to deliver high-quality assisted living services with compassion and professionalism. Monitor residents' health status by reviewing medical records, documentation, and assessments; adjust care strategies accordingly. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare guidelines, and state-specific assisted living standards. Manage documentation review processes including MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, medical records updates, and care documentation accuracy. Oversee shift management to guarantee consistent staffing levels that meet resident needs while maintaining operational efficiency. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to coordinate medical treatments including hospice care, home health services, or acute care interventions when necessary. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems effectively for accurate recordkeeping and reporting. Lead quality assurance initiatives to improve resident outcomes through continuous review of care plans and clinical practices. Foster a positive community atmosphere by promoting resident engagement activities aligned with their physiology knowledge and personal interests. Requirements Proven experience in assisted living environments or nursing homes with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Strong background in nursing administration with supervising experience in healthcare settings such as home health or hospice care. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and documentation review processes related to senior care. Familiarity with EMR systems, EHR systems, and healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA regulations. Ability to manage multiple shifts effectively while maintaining attention to detail in medical records and care documentation. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurse management and physician partners. Leadership qualities that inspire team engagement while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements like Medicare standards. Certification in nursing or healthcare management preferred; active licensure as required by state law is highly desirable.
