Our Resident Care Director:
Oversee Caregiving Operations:
Manages the daily caregiving functions of Assisted Living in alignment with the community's mission, standards, and goals. Ensures quality service delivery to residents, with attention to their physical, mental, and social well-being, including those with mild to moderate dementia.
Supervision and Staff Development:
Provides direct supervision to caregiving staff. Responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of Resident Care personnel. Conducts regular rounds to monitor care delivery and maintain a supportive residential environment.
Resident Assessment and Care Planning:
Conducts assessments of current and prospective residents to determine functional level and appropriate care needs. Develops and updates individualized service plans. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to review and monitor residents' health and social conditions.
Healthcare Coordination:
Maintains communication with residents' healthcare providers. Oversees reassessments and coordinates continuity of care upon hospital discharge. Ensures physician orders are properly documented and executed in collaboration with the Health Care Coordinator.
Medication Management:
Oversees the medication administration program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and that accurate medication and health records are maintained for each resident.
Budget and Regulatory Compliance:
Develops and manages the Assisted Living program's operating and capital budgets. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accrediting or contracting agency requirements related to Residential Care. Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent significant professional experience preferred. Valid, unrestricted California nursing license preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory and administrative experience, including budget management and program development. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with older adults, with demonstrated sensitivity to the aging process. In-depth understanding of medication management programs in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). Strong working knowledge of Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8 (Community Care Licensing for RCFEs), including: Resident rights Emergency protocols Position-specific regulatory requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. A deep understanding and passion for older adults, particularly those experiencing cognitive challenges, is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and collaborative work ethic are essential. Committed to delivering high-quality and professional interactions with residents, families, peers, volunteers, and team members in a multi-cultural environment. Exhibit creative problem-solving (innovation), good decision-making, and proactive initiative with tasks. The ability to identify needs, develop, and manage multiple programs and systems concurrently. Skilled in exhibiting adaptability, making informed decisions in high-pressure situations, and effectively prioritizing tasks and projects with flexibility and a positive attitude. Adheres to the dress code requirements; maintains a tidy and presentable appearance. Utilizes appropriate and safe footwear. To ensure the health and safety of both our team members and residents, Elder Care Alliance may mandate that team members receive vaccinations, engage in daily screenings, undergo surveillance testing, and utilize face coverings along with other personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with regulatory guidelines to mitigate the transmission of infectious diseases. Completion of a background check. Drug screen, TB, fingerprint, and physical may be required per state/local guidelines.
