Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) Administrator to lead and oversee the daily operations of our senior care community. This vital role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and delivering exceptional care to residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors. As an RCFE Administrator, you will play a key role in fostering a warm, safe, and supportive environment where residents thrive and feel valued. Duties Lead the overall operation of the care facility, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations related to senior care and long-term care services. Supervise and support staff members, including caregiving teams, nursing personnel, and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that address residents' unique needs, including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and other specialized services. Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and accuracy in accordance with healthcare standards. Manage facility budgets, control expenses, and oversee financial planning to maintain operational efficiency. Coordinate with healthcare professionals such as social workers and nurses to ensure comprehensive resident care. Maintain accurate documentation related to resident health records, incident reports, compliance audits, and operational procedures. Facilitate communication with residents' families to keep them informed about their loved ones' well-being and progress. Lead efforts in staff training on topics such as resident rights, safety protocols, medication management, and emergency procedures. Promote a positive community atmosphere by organizing activities that enhance residents' social engagement and overall happiness. Experience Proven management experience within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or retirement communities with a focus on senior care or home & community care settings. Extensive background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading diverse teams in fast-paced healthcare environments. Strong understanding of operations management including budgeting, financial acumen, and regulatory compliance specific to long-term care facilities. Hands-on experience with developing and implementing personalized care plans tailored to residents' needs. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety standards in healthcare settings. Familiarity with group home operations or retirement home management is highly desirable.
