JOB SUMMARY
The Home Administrator has the sole administrative responsibility for the operation of the home. This person is accountable for all direct services, support services and contracted clinical services associated with the home. The administrator provides the necessary leadership and support to promote the achievement of high quality outcomes in the homes, as well as fostering optimum lifestyles for those persons served.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be present at facility a sufficient number of hours to adequately administer the facility interview, appraise, and admit residents Must complete 40 hours of continuing education every two (2) years during the certification period. Promotes the smooth operation of the homes by overseeing compliance with all relevant LSA Policies and Procedures as well as Title 17 and Title 22 regulations and San Andreas Best Practices Leads Direct Support Professional staff by example Serve as a communication liaison for representatives from Community Care Licensing and San Andreas Regional Center Formulates and determines home priorities Work with the Program Director to assess potential residents for admission appropriateness Ensure adequate staffing in the home at all times while managing overtime costs Provide continuous ongoing training and feedback to DSP staff and the Community Inclusion Coach on ISP and behavioral objectives and treatment plans Ensure that all staff working in the home maintains a current knowledge and onging compliance with all the relevant regulations and laws that address licensed care facilities serving the developmentally disabled community Ensures all staff maintains all required training and certifications Supervise and evaluate the performance of the DSP staff and Community Inclusion Coach working in the home Facilitate budget compliance by adhereing to the homes budget and providing feedback to the Program Director as to cost saving measures and budget deficits Assists the resident with managing Personal and Incidental funds maintaining an accurate balance at all times Promote high satisfaction among the residents living in the home, families, regional center and licensing Work with the Program Director to develop an action plan to address issues or concerns Review the residents treatment and training plans and evaluate their progress Prepare for and attend quarterly, semi, and annual IPP meetings and ensure timely follow-up Promote a healthy lifestyle for residents and ensures residents rights are adhered to Ensures medical and clinic appointments for residents are done as recommended by the attending physician and ensure timely follow-up Coordinates and provides on-going transportation needs of the persons living in the homes Ensures the home has adequate supplies to operate and is prepared for emergencies Ensures the continued safety in the home by reporting repairs and maintenance issues Job function includes the handling and preparation of meat products Personal care involves incontinence care, toileting, showering for male, female, gender status Additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age is 21 Must be a certified Administrator. Must have current Adult Residential Facility Administrator Certificate Must have CCL(Community Care Licensing) Administrator Certificate Must have RSO(Residential Services Orientation) from SARC Must be present at facility a sufficient number of hours to adequately administer the facility (20 hours) for each home Must complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years during the certification period Supervisory experience preferred Ability to maintain and supervise the maintenance of financial and other records Ability to sustain the facility's policy, program and budget Minimum of two years prior experience in a position of similar scope Education and/or training in the areas of supervision and management The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively and give and accept feedback Ability to work with team in a leadership role Ability to work autonomously Flexibility and adaptability in working hours Time management and follow-up skills with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize a large workload and handle several tasks simultaneously
EDUCATION
Hold a High School Diploma or GED certificate Displays a proficiency in written and oral English Has a current Residential Care Facility Administrator certificate
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is a mandated reporter, and is required to observe all individuals' rights, report unusual occurrences as specified in Title 22, California Code of Regulations.
- Hold a valid California driver's license, auto insurance and a good driving record, and undergo fingerprint and criminal record check, and provide results of health screening and TB testing.

CPR WORKING ENVIRONMENT
: Typical Working Conditions Primary work location is indoors, outdoors for leisure activities. Works varying hours and/or varying shifts, mandatory overtime may be required to assure the health & safety of our resident. Regular interaction with residents in providing direct services, including group guidance, physical assistance, management of assaultive behavior, and other conditions common to on and off residence training environments.
Risk/Safety Conditions:
Will have on-going interaction with residents. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood
- borne pathogens, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.
May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
Essential Physical Activities:
To include: walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions. Pushing and/pulling one wheelchair/gurney with up to 250-pound resident. Is required to lift a maximum of 25 lbs. and will ask for assistance in lifting over 25 lbs. Maintains sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this job description.
