GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Group Home Manager will supervise the staff at a group home of individuals with disabilities. Implement the

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Demonstrate professionalism in the interactions with staff and individuals served as evidenced by showing timely follow through of assigned tasks. Use Creative problem-solving and good judgement
  • Maintain a patient approach working with individuals served & staff
  • Demonstrating effective organizational skills
  • Maintaining a calm approach in dealing with crisis situations
  • Maintain on-going communication with assigned Program Director and agency Nurse
  • Ensure the safety of employee and Individuals served by

  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills Participate with "On call" responsibility as scheduled Provide and oversee DSP completion of daily progress notes and other related documentation for each individual through Therap and/or any other DDS or

approved EVV or handwritten data collection system. All documentation must be completed in accordance with required timeframes. This includes but not limited to grocery and van mileage
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations governing services provided by
SARAH SENECA
to individuals supported.
  • Undertake full program staff (DSP's) supervision responsibilities which include: o Performance evaluations o Positive/Progressive discipline o Interacting with staff in a manner which fosters cooperation and initiative o Create staff schedules and ensure the needs of the program are met through appropriate staffing levels and staff qualifications.
  • Support & oversee each individual in carrying out all aspects of medical and personal care Support & oversee each individual in all aspects of their programming
  • Support & oversee each individual in all aspects of personal finances Support & oversee each individual in all aspects of state & federal entitlements.
  • Train staff on agency policies and procedures, personnel guidelines & house protocols
  • Oversee & effectively manage budgets for house and individuals
  • Maintain certifications in: o Medication Administration o CPR, First Aid and PMT
  • Will require completing hands on personal care with individuals as needed
  • Will have on-call responsibilities for the house and rotate manager on-call on weekends.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 9a-5p Full time hourly position. Full Benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401K, and many employee discounts
Required:
Drivers License with clean record, Bachelors preferred, CT DDS Medication Administration certification, CPR/FA preferred, at least 2-3 years group home experience
EOE Pay:
$26.11 per hour
