Job Title:
Regional Administrator - Skilled Nursing Facilities (AHCA, QAPI, Five-Star)

Job Type:
Full-Time Overview:
A respected long-term care organization is seeking an experienced Regional Administrator to provide operational, regulatory, and strategic oversight for skilled nursing facilities in Florida. This executive leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with AHCA and CMS regulations, driving QAPI initiatives, and improving CMS Five-Star Quality Ratings across the region.
Travel Requirement:
This position requires frequent regional travel , including routine on-site presence at each assigned facility. The Regional Administrator must be able to travel multiple days per week to support administrators, lead surveys, conduct audits, and drive performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct leadership and oversight to Facility Administrators Ensure ongoing compliance with AHCA, CMS, and Florida Statutes Chapter 400 Maintain regional survey readiness and oversee AHCA and CMS Plans of Correction (POCs) Lead and support facility QAPI programs , including performance improvement projects (PIPs) Monitor and improve CMS Five-Star ratings , quality measures, survey outcomes, and staffing metrics Analyze clinical, operational, and financial data to drive quality and performance improvement Oversee budgets, census growth, and operational efficiency initiatives Collaborate with DONs and interdisciplinary teams to align clinical outcomes with regulatory standards Serve as the regional liaison during AHCA surveys, complaint investigations, and follow-up visits Implement corporate policies, procedures, and AHCA-required processes consistently across facilities
Qualifications:
Active Florida Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in good standing (required) Minimum 5 years of Nursing Home Administrator experience in Florida Multi-facility or regional leadership experience strongly preferred Proven success with AHCA surveys, QAPI oversight, and Five-Star improvement Strong working knowledge of Florida Administrative Code, AHCA reporting, and CMS regulations Ability to travel regularly between assigned facilities
