House Manager of Sober Living Home Malcolm's Place Tampa, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Professional development assistance Qualifications Teamwork Operations management Interpersonal skills Attention to detail Teaching Full Job Description Malcolm's Place has a position for Men's Sober Living House Manager in Tampa, FL. Malcolm's Place provides its residents the opportunity to create a new beginning with a solid foundation of accountability and community support for living a clean and sober life. The Manager understands recovery, works a 12-step program, sets an example, works with the other house managers, holds the residents accountable and motivates residents to set and achieve personal goals. This position works directly with men in early recovery, providing structure and support to men seeking to live a clean and sober life. This is a highly responsible position overseeing the operations of the house and assisting in a supportive manner to hold residents accountable to house rules. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with leadership skills, a passion for helping others in recovery. The Manager oversees daily operations, assigning and monitoring daily housekeeping tasks, leading weekly house meetings, conducting inspections, intakes and making arrangements for random drug testing. This position is also involved in supporting residents to develop recovery plans and teaching residents skills needed to live in recovery. We are looking for a team player that is passionate about making a significant difference in men's lives while helping this non-profit organization grow and evolve. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform admissions for all new residents, works on keeping house full and building relationships in the community.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of recovery with all clients.
  • Maintain, manage and supervise in all clinical and operations.
  • Supervise residents conduct, behavior and adherence to Malcolm's Place policies, requirements and house rules.
  • Handle all issues in a supportive and professional manner.
  • Work with team to maintain Sober Living Program with residents.
  • Provide live-in supervision to Sober Living residents.
  • Administer random UA's and Breathalyzers.
  • Monitors residents 12 Step Recovery activities.
  • Provide resources for residents in all areas of daily living (i.e. 12 Step recovery meetings, volunteer work, and employment).
  • Communicate with families about resident progress.
  • Facilitate weekly house meeting.
  • Monitor residents budgets provided by family (i.e. bus passes and money cards).
  • Supervise residents in assignment of duties that contributes to upkeep of the living space.
  • Attends bimonthly staffing meetings with directors/leadership team.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety procedures for emergency situations.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility by operating within assigned budget.
  • Inspect properties for areas of concern and reports to supervisor.
  • Assists Director of Operations in managing all facility related activities.
  • Oversees, manages, and maintains records for all safety drills.
  • Assists Business Development team to facilitate tours.
  • Encourages and promotes teamwork and accountability among the house.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
