https://www.linkedin.com/in/elizabethmattei/ The co-owners, Wendy and Jim, started Northbridge as they had a passion for the elderly and wanted to keep their operations totally focused on very high end services and care and providing what the residents needed and wanted. Here is an example—one site in Burlington VT has a heavier male population, and while they've a golf course and other amenities to work out the residents, they wanted more. The residents said they'd love a Bocci Court. Within one week, a professional Bocci curt was installed! Another community had a pool table, but had a few pool sharks

• -so the one table wasn't sufficient.

The request was made by the residents for another pool table—two additional pool tables came into the site in one week. Every month the RCD is given $500 "play money" for the associates—so ice cream trucks, pizza trucks roll up—other kinds of fun things Wendy and Jim, the co-owners have inspired Northbridge to be a family and fun environment, and want to keep it that way. They came up with the idea of raising $$ for Dementia, so they made a bicycle marathon where they personally biked 384 miles to all their facilities throughout Maine and New Hampshire, and when they arrived at each community, a barbecue and carnival was carried out—the associates and residents invited their families and it was a spectacular fun day of mingling for residents and the employees, and able to spend some time with the two of Northbridges owners!
