Position SummaryThe Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operational success, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and resident satisfaction of the community. Working in partnership with Greenbrier Senior Living, the Executive Director provides strategic direction and oversight for all aspects of community operations while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and hospitality.

What You Will DoResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the community while ensuring exceptional resident care and service.
  • Establish and implement the community's mission, vision, strategic goals, and operational objectives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all departments, including clinical services, resident care, dining, life enrichment, sales and marketing, housekeeping, maintenance, and administration.
  • Ensure the development and execution of sound programs, policies, procedures, and best practices related to:
  • Resident care and services
  • Memory care programming
  • Sales and marketing initiatives
  • Public relations and community outreach
  • Financial management and budgeting
  • Facilities management
  • Risk management and safety
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Quality assurance and customer satisfaction
  • Drive occupancy growth through collaboration with the sales and marketing team.
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure achievement of budgetary goals and operational metrics.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing assisted living and memory care communities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, referral sources, community partners, and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide timely and accurate operational reports, analyses, and recommendations to Greenbrier Senior Living leadership.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, engagement, accountability, and professional development.
  • Effectively communicate with residents, family members, associates, and external stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe Executive Director provides leadership and oversight for all department leaders and community associates, including:
  • Recruiting and hiring
  • Onboarding and training
  • Coaching and development
  • Performance management
  • Employee relations
  • Corrective action and disciplinary processes
  • Workforce planning
  • Succession planning
  • Separation of employment decisionsWhy You Are Qualified
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Maryland Assisted Living Manager License (or ability to obtain) preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, long-term care, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-department operations, budgets, occupancy goals, and team development.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, associates, and business partners.
  • Passion for serving seniors and creating an exceptional resident experience.
