The Director of Resident Care plays a vital leadership role in shaping the quality of care and life at Lakeview. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of resident care and clinical services, ensuring every resident receives high quality services and support that promote and enhance the residents' well-being, safety, and dignity. Lakeview Assisted Living is a family owned and operated community located in Battle Creek, Michigan. We are a licensed Home for the Aged with 67-apartments Essential Duties Provides clinical oversight over all aspects of resident care and medication management. Assigns duties for resident care and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Lead the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet each person's unique needs and preferences. Oversees and ensures the recruitment and retention of qualified resident care staff throughout the campus, as evidenced by good morale, enthusiasm, team spirit, and dedication to the residents and their families. Provides training, education, and mentorship to resident care staff on an ongoing basis. This includes classroom in-services and situation specific training. Oversees the preadmission screening of prospective residents. Oversees the care coordination of residents and maintain communication with residents and families as needed Ensures that the resident care department is in compliance and up to date with all state regulatory requirements in terms of medication management and resident care. Review incident reports and participate in quarterly Quality Review meetings Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and compassionate, resident-centered care. On-call responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) preferred; however, we welcome candidates with leadership experience and strong clinical backgrounds (RT, PTA, BSW, COTA). Leadership experience working in senior living or long-term care is preferred Experience with EMR/EHR clinical documentation systems is desirable A passion and commitment for serving seniors is required
