Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), a vital role committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. In this dynamic position, you will serve as a key advocate, ensuring that each person receives personalized care, support, and opportunities for growth. Your leadership will help foster an empowering environment where individuals can thrive in community settings, group homes, or long-term care facilities. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference every day by applying your expertise in assisted living, dementia care, and social work to promote independence and well-being. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee individualized care plans tailored to residents' unique needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Supervise direct care staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with best practices in senior care and home & community care. Coordinate daily operations within group homes, retirement homes, or assisted living facilities to maintain a safe, supportive environment. Manage medication administration processes accurately and safely, adhering to all regulatory standards. Monitor residents' progress and adjust care strategies accordingly while maintaining detailed documentation of care activities. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to support residents' holistic well-being. Oversee budgeting and resource allocation to ensure efficient operation of care services while maintaining compliance with licensing requirements. Skills Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in settings such as group homes or assisted living communities. Strong background in nursing home experience, senior care, memory care, and Alzheimer's/dementia-specific caregiving techniques. Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in long-term care or home & community care environments. Excellent understanding of care plans development, medication management, and resident safety protocols. Financial acumen related to budgeting and resource management within healthcare operations. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including social workers and healthcare professionals. Knowledge of assisted living regulations, operational management practices, and best practices in dementia and memory care.
