Position Summary:
The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) provides leadership, direction, and oversight for the daily operations of a skilled nursing facility. This role ensures the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and financial performance. The LNHA represents the facility within the community, fosters strong relationships with residents, families, and staff, and drives operational excellence aligned with corporate strategy. ________________________________________________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and management of the skilled nursing facility. Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate policies. Oversee delivery of quality resident care in collaboration with nursing, therapy, dietary, and social services. Manage facility budget, financial performance, and census growth. Lead, mentor, and evaluate department heads and staff to promote accountability and excellence. Support admissions and marketing strategies to achieve occupancy goals. Ensure survey readiness and lead corrective action planning for regulatory compliance. Maintaineffective communication with residents, families, and community partners. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention of staff. Collaborate with Corporate and Regionalleadershipon strategic planning, quality improvement, and operational initiatives. ________________________________________________________________________________ Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of long-term care operations, CMS/state regulations, and resident rights. Leadership and mentoring skills withabilityto inspire multi-disciplinary teams. Financial and business acumen, including budgeting, census, and reimbursement management. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to manage crisis situations and implement corrective actions effectively. ________________________________________________________________________________
Required:
Current, active Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of Michigan and/or Ohio. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field. 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in long-term care.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration. Experience with multi-facility or large skilled nursing operations. Proven success in survey management and census growth. ________________________________________________________________________________ Physical & Work Requirements Frequent walking, standing, and interaction with residents and staff. Ability to travel for meetings, training, and corporate initiatives. Work in a 24/7 healthcare environment with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and emergencies. ________________________________________________________________________________
