Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Memory Care Director to lead our dedicated team in providing exceptional care to our residents with memory challenges. As the Memory Care Director, you will oversee all aspects of the Memory Care program, ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of our residents. This role is pivotal in fostering a nurturing environment and leading a team of care professionals to deliver top-tier services.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
Oversee and manage daily operations of the Memory Care program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and supervise Memory Care staff, ensuring they are well-trained in person-centered care and dementia-specific techniques.
Family Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for families, providing education, support, and regular communication regarding their loved ones' care.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care programs, continuously seeking to improve the quality of life for residents.
Staff Development:
Provide ongoing education and training to staff in dementia care and memory support best practices.
Compliance:
Ensure the community complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in memory care or senior living management, with a deep understanding of Alzheimer's and dementia care.
Certifications:
A LNHA license is preferred but not required but a LPN License is required. A C ertified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or similar certification is a plus.
