Job Description

Memory Care Director Langdon Place of Exeter - Exeter, NH Lead with Purpose. Make a Difference Every Day. Langdon Place of Exeter is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and experienced Memory Care Director to lead our specialized dementia care neighborhood. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who is passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia while supporting families and developing a strong, engaged team. We welcome applications from experienced LPNs, Activities Professionals, and Memory Care Leaders (CDP required within a year of employment) As the Memory Care Community Director, you will oversee the daily operations of our Memory Care neighborhood, ensuring exceptional resident care, innovative programming, regulatory compliance, and a culture of dignity, purpose, and engagement. What You'll Do Lead and oversee all Memory Care operations, programming, and services. Supervise and support Memory Care staff, including caregivers, activities staff, and nursing team members. Develop, implement, and evaluate meaningful dementia-focused programs and activities. Partner with families to provide education, support, and ongoing communication. Conduct resident assessments and participate in care planning. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to ensure continuity of care. Promote resident engagement, independence, and quality of life. Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and best practices in dementia care. Monitor quality outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Assist with marketing, tours, family support groups, and community outreach efforts. Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of team members. Foster a positive team culture focused on compassion, accountability, and excellence. Qualifications Experienced Activities Directors, Memory Care Coordinators, Program Directors, and Assisted Living leaders are encouraged to apply. Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals living with dementia and their families. Current LPN license preferred but not required. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification within one year. Strong knowledge of dementia care practices, resident engagement, and assisted living regulations. Must possess Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
