About the Firefighter's Home The Firefighter's Home is a mission-driven skilled nursing and residential care community dedicated to serving New York's volunteer firefighters and their families. With a long-standing tradition of compassion, dignity, and service, the Home provides high-quality care in a close-knit, values-centered environment. Our team is committed to honoring the legacy of those who have served their communities, while fostering a supportive and respectful atmosphere for residents and staff alike. About the Role The Administrator serves as the senior operational leader, responsible for the overall management and performance of the facility. Working closely with the Board of Trustees and leadership team, the Administrator ensures the delivery of high-quality care in compliance with all federal and New York State regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership across all departments Ensure compliance with NYS Department of Health and federal regulations Champion a culture of resident-centered care and quality of life Lead survey readiness and serve as primary contact during DOH inspections Oversee financial performance, including budgeting and resource allocation Develop and mentor a high-performing leadership team Strengthen relationships with residents, families, and community partners Implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Qualifications Current New York State Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license required Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred Minimum of 5-10 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting Demonstrated success in regulatory compliance and survey management Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
