Position Introduction:
This position serves as the Independent Living/Social Coordinator for the Sooner Works program, an Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Coordinator is responsible for supporting and supervising students in their independent living and social development, while promoting inclusive, person-centered practices across campus and community settings. The Coordinator will teach inclusive education courses, facilitate skill development in the areas of independent living and support students in navigating residential and campus life. This position also plays a key role in creating inclusive social opportunities, fostering peer connections, and ensuring students are meaningfully engaged in campus and community experiences. Required Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification to be obtained within 30 days of the hire date in this position.
Department Preferences:
Conduct 360 planning with program participants. Provide academic instruction and daily support to postsecondary education program participants. Attend local, state, national/international conferences to present research and other scholarly work. Advise and collaborate with faculty and staff in best practice guidelines.
