Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assisted Living Director to lead the daily operations of the AL department within the larger continuing care retirement community. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong business acumen, proven marketing skills, and hands-on experience in assisted living or senior care. Candidates must possess a solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the assisted living department, including resident care, staff management, and financial performance, within the larger framework of the CCRC Collaborate with ownership and leadership to implement strategic goals and operational improvements Drive occupancy and stability through strategic relationship building and quality service delivery Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations governing assisted living communities Lead, mentor, and develop team members to maintain high standards of care and service Foster a positive, resident-centered environment that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life Manage budgets, expenses, and financial reporting to meet performance targets for the assisted living department
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred) Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in assisted living, senior housing, or related healthcare setting Strong business and financial management skills Thorough knowledge of assisted living regulations and compliance requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to build relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Executive Director or Administrator in senior living Previous experience in Memory Care RCAL licensure is a plus, but not required
