The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for residents with memory impairments. This role involves managing care plans, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a compassionate environment for residents with complex needs. The Memory Care Program Director will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence and delivering person-centered care tailored to residents' unique needs. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive memory care programs aligned with best practices and regulatory standards. Lead and supervise staff members, including caregivers, nurses, and support personnel, ensuring high-quality resident care and adherence to care plans. Manage daily operations of the memory care unit Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community resources to support residents' well-being and transition planning. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care, assisted living, and dementia-specific services. Conduct staff training on dementia care techniques, medication administration, safety protocols, and person-centered approaches. Oversee budgeting processes for the memory care program to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining high standards of care. Promote a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that enhances residents' dignity and independence. Lead efforts in continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at elevating resident satisfaction and operational effectiveness. Qualifications Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, retirement homes, or group homes with a focus on memory or dementia care. Strong background in long-term care management, operations management, or healthcare administration. Extensive knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care strategies, medication administration, and development of individualized care plans. Supervisory experience leading teams in home & community care environments or residential facilities. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to assisted living and long-term care services. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage staff effectively while fostering a compassionate team culture. Excellent organizational skills including budgeting expertise and financial acumen relevant to healthcare operations. Background in social work or nursing is highly desirable; additional experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus. Compassionate approach with strong communication skills to engage residents' families and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
