(ILCS) is seeking an empathetic, compassionate, organized, and mission-driven ILS Coordinator to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living empowered, independent, and meaningful lives in their own homes and communities. ILCS is a Regional Center of Orange County vendor providing Supported Living Services (SLS), Independent Living Services (ILS), and Parenting Support Services throughout Orange County. What You'll Do The ILS Coordinator plays a key operational and leadership role within the organization and is responsible for supporting consumers, mentoring staff, coordinating services, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Conducting intake assessments and coordinating new consumer onboarding Assisting with developing proposed service budgets/hours for Regional Center approval Developing and coordinating staff schedules Supporting and mentoring Independent Living Skills Instructors (ILS staff) Reviewing and overseeing service documentation and consumer progress notes Supporting consumers in achieving their IPP and ISP goals Communicating with consumers, families, Regional Center Service Coordinators, and staff Assisting with ISP development, quarterly reviews, and progress tracking Supporting staff problem solving and conflict resolution Ensuring quality services and compliance with Regional Center and ILCS requirements Assisting with consumer-related coordination including appointments, resources, and community supports Supporting a collaborative and compassionate team culture Participating in ongoing training, development, and process improvement Who We're Looking For Empathetic, compassionate, and patient Skilled in verbal and written communication Strong in problem solving and decision making Dependable and accountable Strong in planning, organizing, and prioritizing work Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Skilled at building positive relationships with consumers, families, staff, and partner agencies Enjoys mentoring, teaching, and supporting staff Able to manage multiple priorities effectively Professional and ethical Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing situations Passionate about helping others grow and succeed Person-centered in philosophy and approach Strong in documentation Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Experience in Independent Living Services (ILS), Supported Living Services (SLS), case management, social services, behavioral health, healthcare, rehabilitation, or related fields Experience coordinating schedules, services, or staff Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to use technology platforms for documentation and communication Bilingual Vietnamese or Spanish language skills a plus Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Healthcare, or related field preferred. Relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities may be substituted for formal education.
