- Final candidates will be required to complete a writing assessment.
- Final candidate will be required to complete documentation granting permission for the County of Chester to obtain a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Note:
3-day training may require overnight travel.) Provides on-call after hours coverage including holidays and weekends a minimum of one shift per month. Maintains comprehensive knowledge base of internal and external programmatic offerings. Adherence to all local, state and federal regulatory requirements and policies which govern the delivery of services to departmental consumer population. Travels to complete face-to-face consumer interviews, attend trainings/conferences, and other meetings as required. Maintains a professional public image which is courteous and tactful. Performs other related duties as required.Qualifications/Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience Minimum Requirements:
One year of direct aging care management experience and a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; OR 1.5 years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience and a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 6 months of professional human services, law enforcement or nursing experience. Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the protective services program. Knowledge of consumer conditions that permit or require the intervention of court supervision.as well as the availability of community support services for the benefit of elderly consumers. Knowledge of social casework principles and methods. Knowledge of current social, economic and health problems and resources as they relate to older adults. Knowledge of individual and group behavior and ways of working effectively with older adults who have social, economic, emotional or health problems. Skill in the development of plans to address the needs of vulnerable older adults. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, other members of the staff, outside agencies, institutions and the public. Ability to plan and organize work, prepare adequate records and reports, set priorities and maintain a caseload of consumers in an effective manner. Ability to clearly express ideas orally and in writing and to interpret laws and regulations. Ability to understand and accept the needs and rights of other persons and to work with older adults who are physically disabled or economically disadvantaged. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and aid them to grow in the constructive use of their potential in adjusting to their specific problems. Ability to work independently or as part of a team and proceed with objectives. Ability to follow protocols to handle and resolve recurring problems. Ability to use common sense understanding to carry out written and verbal instructions. Exhibits sound and accurate judgement and an ability to make firm unbiased decisions. Flexible, with an ability to carry multiple tasks to completion Exhibits a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new tasks. Professionalism, integrity, and honesty with an ability to handle confidential matters.Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences Two or more years of job-related experience. Knowledge and understanding of County of Chester policies and procedures. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee will need to stand; walk; climb stairs; push, lift or carry items; and taste or smell. On rare occasions, the employee will need to reach above shoulders; work with arms above shoulder height; bend at the waist or work bent at the waist; kneel, stoop, crouch or squat; and twist or rotate at the waist.
