The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager (Executive Director) to lead our Independent Living community. This is a rewarding leadership role where you will oversee the overall operations of the community, ensuring that every aspect—from resident care to team morale—reflects excellence. You will be the heart of our community, creating a positive and inclusive environment for residents, families, staff, and visitors. Your leadership will shape the culture, elevate service standards, and ensure regulatory compliance, all while driving operational success. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on leadership and support across all departments to ensure residents receive high-quality care and services Oversee the daily operations of the community, ensuring alignment with Inspirit's mission and goals Manage community budgets and meet or exceed financial targets Recruit, train, and supervise department directors and staff members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures Support onboarding and ongoing training of staff, ensuring required certifications and standards are maintained Conduct daily team huddles, monthly town hall meetings, and one-on-one coaching to motivate and develop your team Maintain a safe and well-maintained environment by regularly inspecting the property and ensuring adherence to safety protocols Actively review incident reports, manage workers' compensation and unemployment claims, and oversee OSHA compliance Build meaningful relationships with residents and families, always listening and responding with empathy and professionalism Serve as the face of the community to referral partners, vendors, and external professionals Be available for after-hours needs including on-call duties as required Participate in and lead community engagement efforts Support and protect the confidentiality of resident and organizational information Perform other duties as needed and assigned by Inspirit Senior Living leadership What You Bring A passion for working with seniors and a heart for service At least three to five years of experience in long-term care or senior living, with strong leadership and supervisory skills High school diploma required; additional education in healthcare, business, or hospitality is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team The ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make independent decisions under pressure Comfort with flexible work hours and being available for emergencies A positive, solution-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence Pre-employment Requirements Pre-placement drug screening Criminal background check Why Join Inspirit?
