Caring Senior Service is seeking a compassionate, organized, and hands-on Care Manager to oversee care for residents in an independent living community in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, can confidently manage caregivers, and is committed to helping seniors remain safe, supported, and comfortable where they live. What You'll Do As the Care Manager, you will be responsible for managing both resident care needs and caregiver performance within an independent living facility where staff are present 24/7.
Key responsibilities include:
Meet with Residents Build relationships with residents, learn about their needs, and identify opportunities to provide helpful support and services. Assess Needs & Create Care Plans Conduct resident assessments, capture care needs, and work with residents and families to agree on a personalized plan of care. Coordinate Daily Care Ensure each resident's care plan is properly communicated, followed, and updated as needs change. Lead & Manage Caregivers Supervise, schedule, coach, and support caregiving staff assigned to the facility. Maintain 24/7 Coverage Help ensure appropriate caregiver coverage is in place around the clock to meet resident needs and maintain service quality. Monitor Quality & Satisfaction Conduct regular check-ins, supervisory visits, and follow-ups to ensure residents are satisfied and caregivers are delivering excellent care. Communicate & Problem-Solve Serve as a key point of contact for residents, families, caregivers, facility staff, and the Caring Senior Service team. Support Safety & Compliance Promote safe care practices, proper body mechanics, fall prevention, and compliance with company policies and procedures. What You Bring The ideal candidate will have: Experience in senior care, home care, assisted living, independent living, hospice, home health, or a related field Strong leadership and caregiver management skills Experience creating or following care plans Knowledge of personal care, transfers, fall prevention, and safe body mechanics Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organization and follow-through A compassionate, professional, and solutions-focused approach The ability to work well with residents, families, caregivers, and facility partners Why Join Caring Senior Service?
