The Alt Administrator oversees the daily operations of a private duty home care agency, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. They manage client care, supervise Caregiver and CNA staff, coordinate care plans, and maintain high-quality service delivery. The role involves administrative leadership, staff management, and hands-on nursing care as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Compliance:
Ensure the agency operates in compliance with state and federal regulations, including licensing requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with home care standards. Maintain accurate client records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes. Serve as the primary point of contact for state regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and insurance providers. Monitor and enforce adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines. Care Coordination. Oversee the provision of Caregiver and Nursing care to support staff in delivering high-quality services. Assess client health conditions, develop care plans, and modify them as necessary. Staff Management & Training. Implement staff development programs. Address staff concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
Client & Family Relations:
Act as the primary contact for clients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with care. Conduct initial and periodic home visits to assess the quality of care and client needs. Provide education and support to clients and families regarding health conditions and home care strategies. Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative or supervisory role is preferred. Knowledge of state and federal home care regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Work in both office and resident environments. May require occasional travel to client homes for assessments and supervision. Flexible hours, including on-call duties as needed.
