Job Description

Assisted Living Supervisor About Us Tranquility Assisted Living in Houston, Texas 77080 is a compassionate and professional assisted living facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for our residents. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assisted Living Supervisor to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational excellence. Position Summary The Assisted Living Supervisor leads the daily operations of a senior care community's residential care unit. They are responsible for managing direct care staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing resident service plans, and facilitating communication between residents, families, and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, empathy, and operational expertise to create a positive environment for both residents and staff.
Core Responsibilities Staff Leadership:
Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate direct care staff to ensure appropriate staff-to-resident ratios. Foster a collaborative and professional work environment to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
Resident Care:
Oversee the delivery of high-quality care and service to residents in accordance to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), oversee medication administration, monitor changes in residents' health, and coordinate medical care with external care partners.
Compliance & Safety:
Enforce local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and standards to ensure a safe, sanitary, and infection-free environment. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Implement policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and resident satisfaction.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct routine floor rounds, investigate incidents (like falls), and continuously improve service delivery to maximize residents' independence and dignity.
Family Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for families, addressing concerns, providing updates on condition changes, and participating in care plan meetings. Foster positive relationships with residents' families, providing updates and addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Administration:
Handles staff scheduling, assist with timekeeping, manage care supply inventories and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery. Promote a vibrant community environment through engaging activities that support residents' social, emotional and physical well-being.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
A minimum of an Associate's degree is preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care, alongside at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role.
