Job Description

THIS POSITION IS FOR CYPRESSWOOD MEMORY CARE
The Wellness Director oversees clinical and medical programs for assisted-living residents and ensures adherence to applicable laws and regulations at all times. Candidate must have LVN certification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. assesses resident health and care conditions creates and ensures maintenance of service plans for all residents provides residents with a medication regime as ordered by the resident's physician ensures that physician orders are carried out as ordered provides oversight to staff and delegates tasks appropriately monitors effective communications regarding resident care supervise, retain, evaluate and train Caregivers and Medication Aides maintains medical records, resident records, and medication records
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Wellness Director carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Supervisory responsibilities include:
interviewing new vendors and retrieving the necessary paperwork training employees planning, assigning, and directing work hiring, rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from 4-year college or university; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience LVN or LPN certification ability to multi-task Communication Skills Ability to: read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors Communication Skills Ability to: read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors Reasoning Ability Ability to: solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Computer Skills competency with Microsoft Office Suite
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
