This paid internship offers a comprehensive learning experience in long-term care and senior living environments, including assisted living, nursing homes, and memory care facilities. As an AIT, you will gain hands-on exposure to managing daily operations, supervising staff, and delivering exceptional resident care. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop leadership skills and deepen their understanding of healthcare management in a supportive, fast-paced setting. Duties Assist with overseeing daily facility operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans for residents with diverse needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care Collaborate with nursing staff to facilitate medication administration and monitor resident health status Supervise team members, including caregiving staff, to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to safety protocols Participate in budgeting processes and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency Contribute to maintaining a safe environment through routine safety checks, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness Engage in training sessions focused on social work principles, resident engagement, and management best practices Skills Prior experience or familiarity with assisted living, nursing home operations, or home & community care environments Strong understanding of senior care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific strategies Knowledge of care plan development and resident management techniques Leadership skills with experience supervising or managing teams in healthcare or group home settings Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as budgeting, medication oversight, and compliance documentation Effective communication skills tailored to working with residents with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges Basic financial acumen coupled with social work insights to support resident well-being and operational success This paid internship is designed to empower aspiring healthcare leaders by providing real-world experience in long-term care management.
