Job Description

Established Assisted Living facility is seeking a highly motivated Executive Director with demonstrated success in the following areas: Census growth Customer satisfaction Employee retention & satisfaction Budget compliance. Nursing or strong clinical background preferred but not required. Interested parties may submit a resume with cover letter and salary requirements .
Duties:
1. Directs and coordinates day-to-day operations of the Assisted Living Facility. Operate the facility in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the governing body in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. 2. Adhere to written policies regarding responsibilities and activities of individuals employed or acquired under arrangement. 3. Establish systems to enforce the facility policies and procedures and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. 4. Operate the community in a manner, which will ensure company profitability by meeting all community budget and census goals. Follow and adhere to the budget in all situations. Monitor staffing hours and overtime daily to detect problems early. Avoid utilizing temporary staffing without approval of supervisor in advance. Use company budget forms to monitor expenses. 5. Ensures that all invoices for products and services are verified, coded, and submitted for payment in a timely manner. 6. Ensures that all resident invoices are accurate and submitted timely and reconciles all payments. 7. Oversee the healthcare related programs and services (i.e. medications, bathing, staff development, charting) and ensure that all applicable state mandated rules and regulations are carefully adhered to. 8. Oversee the process of determining each resident's suitability and placement for transfer to an environment appropriate for their mental and physical condition 9. Adhere to written personnel policies and individual job descriptions. 10. Recruits, selects, hires, develops, evaluates, disciplines, and terminates department employees in compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies. 11. Is responsible for staffing a 24-hr. scheduling of nursing personal; assigns adequate number of staff to meet all resident needs. 12. Oversees, coordinates and participates in the orientation of new staff. Develops in-service training and provides ongoing training per regulation and policy. 13. Maintains regular contact with employees, medical staff, and residents to discuss services, problems, and exchange information. 14. Responsible for reviewing all resident incident reports, conducts investigations, ensures staff are counseled regarding facility policy and procedures. 15. Supervise the confidentiality and safe storage of current and closed resident records, personnel records and physical plant records with regulatory requirements. 16. Ensure that all necessary supplies are purchased and available and that all equipment is in operating order. 17. Develop relationships with community and survey agencies providing services of benefit to the facility. 18. Develops strong relationships with residents and families. Strives to attain excellence in consumer satisfaction through ongoing solicitation and measurement of consumer feedback, implementation of consumer suggestions, interactive problem solving with residents, and an annual program evaluation/quality assurance effort. Arbitrate complaints and disputes concerning residents, families or personnel. 19. Provides case management services to residents, ensuring the completion of pre-occupancy screening, assessment/reassessment, and negotiated service plan in conjunction with the resident's family, the resident care attendants, and other necessary individuals. 20. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers. 21. Develops and maintains a positive image with the community. Become active in social and civic affairs of the local community. Represents the facility and company to government agencies, professional organizations, community groups and other appropriate public agencies/groups. 22. Arranges and conducts on site-tours and off-site visits with prospective residents and their families for the purpose of discovery. 23. Oversee the process of determining each resident's suitability and placement for transfer to an environment appropriate for their mental and physical condition. 24. Oversees & coordinates move-in and orients new residents to the facility, ensuring satisfactory integration into the facility/community. 25. Assume responsibility for investigating allegations of abuse and neglect and notifying the appropriate state and local agencies. 26. Oversees resident service plans, ensures timely updating and uses information to determine quality of service to residents, and directs staff to implement needed changes. 27. Coordinates move-out, ensuring proper labeling and packing of resident's belongings, if necessary 28. Prepares reports regarding professional services, financial activities, quality of resident care and other special interest areas. Ensures all reports are accurate and complete prior to submission. 29. Coordinates and participates in actively marketing the facility to the local and surrounding communities. 30. Come to work in neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance. 31. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality. 32. Effectively use computer programs and software as required to perform functions of job and employment.
