Job description We are looking for a personable and professional Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA) to lead and direct the overall operation of the facility in accordance with the residents' needs, government regulations, and company policies so as to maintain top quality care for the residents while achieving the facility's business objectives. Job details/
Responsibilities:
Work with facility management and consultants in planning all operational aspects, including setting priorities and job assignments. Monitor each department's activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist, coach and discipline as needed. Conduct regular rounds to ensure resident needs are being addressed, monitor operations of all departments, cleanliness, and appearance of the facility, and morale of the staff. Maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and company Quality Assurance standards. Monitor employee relation practices of key staff to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. Promote practices that maintain high morale and staff retention, including effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and positive reinforcement. Manage turnover and ensures adequate staffing through the development of recruitment sources, and through appropriate selection, orientation, training, and staff education. Manage facility budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables and receivables. Monitor business office activities to ensure procedures and standards are followed. Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the facility that reflects service opportunities, competition, potential market area changes, and maximizes the census, payor mix, and ancillary revenues. Lead and monitor key marketing staff and play an active role in carrying out the marketing plan. Develop positive relationships on behalf of the company with the government regulators, families, area health care community and the community at large. Availability to be on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week (24/7). Demonstrate knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in directing the overall operation of the facility's delivery of care.
Requirements:
Valid Administrator's license issued by the Texas Governing Board. Must meet minimum education requirements of the State. Prefer one plus years' experience as a healthcare facility administrator. Proficient in the use of personal computer.
