Are you ready to take on a leadership role that directly impacts the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities ? Community Alternatives, Inc. (CAI) is seeking a Residential Home Manager to oversee two residential group homes , ensuring that services are person-centered, high-quality, and compliant with regulations . Your leadership will guide and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in delivering exceptional care and fostering independence for individuals served.
What You'll Do:
✔ Supervise DSP staff to ensure comprehensive daily living support, personal hygiene assistance, and community integration ✔ Conduct daily audits to maintain compliance with agency policies and regulatory guidelines ✔ Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with families, guardians, and support teams ✔ Assist in training and onboarding new and current staff to maintain high-quality service delivery ✔ Coordinate and attend meetings and healthcare appointments for individuals served ✔ Manage household expenditures and ensure accurate documentation of financial transactions ✔ Develop and maintain staffing schedules , addressing any staffing concerns as needed ✔ Ensure the safety and security of individuals and staff by maintaining a well-kept environment and conducting emergency drills ✔ Assign and oversee daily staff responsibilities , including transportation and activity planning What You Need to
Qualify:
✔ Associate degree in Human Services or a related field ✔ Five (5) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities ✔ Two (2) years of supervisory experience (Equivalent education and experience may be accepted) ✔ Valid driver's license , acceptable driving history, and proof of auto insurance ✔ Ability to pass mandatory and random drug screenings and background checks ✔ Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills ✔ Proficiency in basic computer operations ✔ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills , with the ability to remain calm in crisis situations
Additional Skills & Certifications:
✔ Effective time management and leadership skills ✔ Ability to work independently while accepting constructive feedback ✔ Strong conflict resolution and mentorship abilities ✔ CPR/First Aid and Medication Assistance Certifications (Must be maintained)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
✔ Ability to lift or position non-ambulatory individuals as needed ✔ Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying hours , including 24/7 on-call responsibilities ✔ Exposure to viruses, diseases, and infections in the working environment ✔ Flexibility to work at different CAI residential group homes with reliable transportation ✔ Ability to handle traumatic situations, including physically aggressive behaviors and verbal threats Why Join CAI? ✔ Mission-Driven Work
