This key leadership role requires a dynamic team player who excels at planning, organizing, and overseeing the functions of resident care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Director will collaborate closely with the Administrator to ensure the highest standards of care for our residents at all times. The ideal candidate will share our core values of Perseverance, Positivity, Compassion, and Integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, plan, organize, and direct the overall function of the Clinical and Resident Services Department. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards governing long-term care facilities. Work independently and as part of a team to achieve quality care outcomes for residents. Provide leadership in staff training, supervision, and development. Uphold and protect resident rights, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Collaborate effectively with the management team, residents, families, physicians, state officials, and external healthcare agencies. Make critical decisions regarding resident care while maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment.
Requirements:
Current Washington State Nursing License (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) in good standing, with no practice restrictions. Minimum of 3 years professional nursing experience , including at least 1 year in a supervisory role . In-depth knowledge of nursing practices related to the care of vulnerable adults. Familiarity with Washington State boarding home regulations and prior experience in a state-licensed boarding home is highly preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff. Excellent communication skills to maintain positive relationships with management, staff, residents, families, and external partners. Ability to make informed, compassionate decisions to ensure the highest level of care for residents.
