Jefferson Regional School of NursingJob Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of the School of Nursing, the Instructor is responsible for providing an atmosphere conducive to the students maximum learning through planned classroom and clinical instruction, which includes working directly with patients, families, nurses, physicians, instructors, and allied health care providers, and to evaluate the results of teaching and learning activities.

Provides direct and indirect student learning opportunities. Communicates with Director and other faculty, as appropriate about student needs, concerns and progress. SON Instructor•

MSN Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Masters Degree in Nursing required. May consider BSN candidate if enrolled in MSN program within 1 year of completion periodGraduate for an accredited school of nursing program and postsecondary masters degree in nursing program.

BLS/CPR upon hire or obtain prior to patient care.

Current Arkansas Registered Nurse Licensure.

Minimum Requirements:

Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, patients, families, and facultyCapacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionalsBasic flexibility to adapt to changes in school and student needs.3 years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting

Preferred Requirements:

Previous teaching or precepting experience in academic or clinical setting.

Strong knowledge of nursing education standards, accreditation requirements, and curriculum development
