Position Summary:

Full-time, nine-month Instructor of Nursing for a primarily clinical and classroom undergraduate teaching position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and teach undergraduate classroom, lab and clinical courses in the Department of Nursing. Effectively advise students. Engage students in high impact learning practices. Participate in departmental, college and university activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge, skills, and abilities of nursing theory, clinical practice, curriculum design, accreditation standards, and evidence-based teaching. Strong instructional, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to integrate technology into learning. Ability to mentor and evaluate students, foster a supportive learning environment, and adapt to varied learning needs. Capacity to collaborate with colleagues, clinical partners, and community stakeholders. Commitment to professional development, ethical standards, and serving as a role model for students.

Minimum Requirements:

MSN, MNSc or MS in Nursing. Hold an Arkansas nursing license (or eligible to obtain one). Position requires a minimum of two years of medical-surgical experience in a U.S. medical center.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-year academic teaching at the university level in classroom or clinical Simulation experience. Evidence of commitment to continuous improvement in teaching. Strong medical/surgical clinical experience.
