This is a part-time, temporary instructional position working under the supervision of the Lead Instructor and reporting directly to the Program Director. The Supplemental Instructor is responsible for conducting training in various disciplines, following curriculum and course materials, providing hands-on instruction, and assisting with training demonstrations. This position works closely with Faculty and may be asked to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. Typical Duties Carry out assigned responsibilities in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes and the College's philosophies, policies, procedures, and regulations. Provide an effective environment for student learning by teaching assigned courses and labs based on College-approved course outlines. Deliver hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and skills practice in accordance with established curriculum and course materials. Evaluate student progress, provide timely feedback, and refer students to appropriate College support services when needed. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance in compliance with College policies and procedures. Support students in developing clinical skills through observation, coaching, and guided practice. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, colleagues, and clinical partners. Remain current in practices, trends, and research related to areas of specialization or assignment. Be available for student interaction and maintain confidentiality relating to student matters. Demonstrate a commitment to student academic success and adult learning concepts. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student learning and program objectives. Perform teaching duties and work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Learn and correctly apply College policies and procedures.
Qualifications Minimum:
Associate degree. Hold current credentials specific to the sonography concentrations (Abdomen-Extended, Vascular, OB/GYN) being taught (e.g., ARDMS, ARRT-S, CCI). Have documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and in educational theories and techniques. This may include completed college coursework, seminars, or in-service training in topics such as learning theory, curriculum design, test construction, teaching methodology, or assessment techniques. Have a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a health science or education-related field. Experience working in or with CAAHEP-accredited programs. Prior experience teaching or assisting in clinical education. Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and LMS platforms.

Instructors are required to maintain all credentials and submit documentation to HR and the Program Director to ensure records remain current while actively instructing.
