Description Provide direct supervision and teaching to students in clinical areas. Work evenings and weekends as required. Typical Duties 1. Participate in scheduled clinical laboratory experiences. 2. Provide for orientation of students to the clinical agency and clearly define performance expectations. 3. Coordinate with assigned clinical facilities for orientations, student assignments and clinical conferences. 4. Supervise students' application of allied health skills, administration of treatments and medications. 5. Grade assignments and/or projects and provide ongoing evaluation of students' performance. 6. Communicate with assigned faculty member to coordinate student assignments with classroom content, and student needs, and provide feedback to faculty regarding progress or status of individual student outcomes. 7. Learn and correctly apply college policies and procedures. 8. Maintain confidentiality of student and patient information. 9. Provide nurturing student learning environment. 10. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the program director. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in nursing; a current Arizona (or compact) nursing license, three (3) or more year's experience in acute care nursing or assigned specialty area. Teaching experience and master's degree in nursing preferred. Maintain current Arizona (or compact) nursing license, CPR certification, immunizations and health insurance.
