Arizona State University, Edson College of Nursing & Health Innovation, is seeking a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure track, 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor to teach in the Baccalaureate Health Degree Programs. This is an in-person position. Responsibilities may include didactic in-person/Online teaching.
Essential Functions
Instruction and Curriculum Development
Demonstrates expert knowledge in the field and the ability to transmit and extend that knowledge to students and others through dynamic, stimulating, and creative strategies.
Demonstrates the ability to develop critical, creative thinkers through continuous planning, analyses, evaluation and revision of courses and workshops.
Demonstrates current knowledge in the field and sustained effectiveness in teaching in the classroom or in an organizational setting.
Uses evidence-based teaching practices (e.g., active learning, case-based learning, experiential learning)
Teaches in a variety of environments, including classroom and distance/online.
Teaches on multiple ASU campus sites.
Develops, implements, and evaluates innovative teaching methods.
Incorporates scholarly and creative activities into teaching.
Contributes to program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Program & Institutional Service
Participates in professional service through membership on elected, appointed, and voluntary committees in the college, university, community, and professional organizations that contribute to the Edson College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation, the individual professional, and to higher education.
Participates in appointed and voluntary activities that contribute to the college, university, and community.
Participates in faculty governance of the College and University.
Participates in the strategic plan of the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
Scholarship & Research
Engage in scholarly activities related to education or health care innovation.
Collaborate with colleagues on research projects, presentations, or publications.
Support student scholarly inquiry in alignment with the Baccalaureate Health Program requirements.
Incorporates scholarly and creative activities into teaching.
Other Essential Duties
Ability to quickly change priorities.
Use critical thinking to make decisions and/or analyze and report data or results.
Use computers effectively.
