Nursing Instructor Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nursing Instructor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, particularly in acute care and ICU settings, and possess the ability to effectively teach and mentor nursing students. This role involves developing course materials, delivering lectures, and guiding students through practical applications of nursing principles. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging course content for nursing programs, utilizing learning technologies such as Blackboard. Conduct lectures, seminars, and hands-on training sessions for students in various nursing disciplines. Evaluate student performance through documentation review, assessments, and practical examinations. Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering their professional growth and development in the field of nursing. Collaborate with faculty members to enhance curriculum design and improve instructional methods. Stay current with advancements in nursing practices, particularly in pediatrics and nursing administration. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program accreditation processes. Requirements Current RN license with experience in acute care or ICU settings. Previous teaching experience or experience working with students in a clinical or educational environment is preferred. Strong understanding of nursing principles, practices, and documentation standards. Familiarity with educational technology platforms such as Blackboard is highly desirable.
