FT Faculty, Nursing Dominican University of California - 4.4 San Rafael, CA Job Details Full-time $76,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Faculty collaboration Women's health and reproductive patient care Full Job Description Description Dominican University is seeking an experienced Maternal Child and Women's Health content expert to teach both didactic and clinical courses in its BSN program. Faculty responsibilities include participation in curriculum oversight, student advising, and service on nursing committees through shared governance. Term faculty are strongly encouraged to engage in scholarly activities and contribute to university service. All full-time faculty maintain flexibility in annual workload assignments and actively support student academic advising. Faculty are expected to comply with the policies and expectations outlined in the Dominican Faculty Handbook. Qualifications Responsibilities Teach an annual 24-unit workload as negotiated with the Chair of the Nursing Department / BSN Program Director Develop course syllabi according to department policies Actively participate in curriculum development, course, and program evaluations Actively participate and contribute to all program accreditations Evaluate and grade student work, provide feedback to students, and maintain regular office hours for students Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework Uphold academic performance standards and integrity Maintain clinical competence in their area of content expertise and stay informed of current nursing practice requirements. Required Qualifications Earned master's degree in nursing education or leadership Eligibility to obtain BRN approval for Maternal Child and Women's Health content expert. Recent clinical experience in Maternal Child and Women's Health within the past 5 years as identified by the California Board of Registered Nursing Strong ability to communicate and interact with students, faculty, and staff and work collaboratively within a faculty/staff team Must meet all criteria for approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing Preferred Qualifications Earned Doctoral Degree Previous academic teaching experience Ability to successfully participate in research and scholarly activities required for Tenure-track positions and preferred for Term positions Additional Position Information Open Until Filled Must be willing to consent to a background check and complete BRN approval form.
