Job Details:
Mercer University's Georgia Baptist College of Nursing is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants must hold current nurse practitioner certification; candidates certified in family, adult-gerontology (acute or primary care), or psychiatric-mental health are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Mercer University's College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track eligible faculty position. Primary academic responsibilities will be in the Master of Science (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree programs. The faculty member may have additional responsibilities in other programs. In addition to teaching, faculty have responsibilities associated with research, scholarship, and service. This position requires on-campus presence and is not a virtual appointment. Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in nursing or related field from an accredited university/college Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia Authorization to practice as a nurse practitioner in Georgia Nurse practitioner certification with clinical experience in one or more specialized population foci, including but not limited to family, adult-gerontology, or psychiatric-mental health practice Excellent written and verbal communication skills Philosophy commensurate with Mercer University's mission and values
Preferred Qualifications:
FNP, AGPCNP, or AGACNP certification Prior full-time faculty experience Experience teaching at the graduate level Experience mentoring DNP students in scholarly projects Evidence of scholarly productivity in area of expertise
