LPN- Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor

Duties Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programs, integrating adult education principles and learning technology tools such as Blackboard and LMS platforms. Supervise students during clinical rotations at teaching hospitals and healthcare facilities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Assess student performance through documentation review, skill demonstrations, and written examinations; provide constructive feedback to support their development. Collaborate with hospital staff, nursing management, and academic teams to coordinate clinical placements and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments in compliance with regulatory requirements. Facilitate classroom instruction on essential topics including patient care, medical terminology, care plans, pediatrics, adult care, ICU procedures, primary care practices, and senior care. Incorporate research findings and current best practices into curriculum updates to enhance instructional effectiveness and relevance. Requirements Valid LPN license with current certification; prior supervising or nurse management experience preferred. Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education or adult education settings; hospital or teaching hospital experience highly valued. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or equivalent learning technology platforms. Strong knowledge of nursing practices across acute care, ICU, pediatrics, primary care, and senior care environments. Experience with curriculum development and documentation review processes aligned with accreditation standards. Excellent communication skills for working with students, hospital staff, and academic colleagues; ability to foster a positive learning environment. Familiarity with research methodologies related to nursing education; experience in nursing administration or patient care is advantageous.
