  • Position Summary
  • This division is home to the following: Social Work department within Business, Social Sciences, and Public Services division.
\ \ MCC instructors are higher-education professionals who champion student learning. They engage and inspire students, applying innovative teaching and learning pedagogies in instruction. They assess student learning to ensure students success, staying abreast of trends in the discipline. Our instructors collaborate within the College as discipline experts, helping the College reach its strategic goals through active participation in college committees and by promoting the College to future students throughout our community.
  • Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Including but are not limited to: Teach the assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students Develop and manage working syllabus, course materials, and assignments Provide feedback and evaluate students\' performance throughout the learning process which could involve being available for student conferences either before or after class, and by College email if necessary Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades and attendance records, and required course related data Use educational technology (i.
e. course management platform such as Canvas) Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results Maintain currency in professional field Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence
