None Job Summary Teach assigned classes and perform related activities to classroom, lab and clinical instruction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned. 1. Classroom theory, skill instruction and clinical instruction. 2. Maintain currency in NAD101 instructional activities. 3. Documentation as needed to support classroom, lab, and clinical activities. 4. Nursing program support fort students, faculty, and college events. 5. Maintain approval status of Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program. 6. Assist with annual program advisory meetings. 7. Monitor clinical agency appropriateness for student learning. 8. Plan course content and assign appropriate course work. 9. Maintain student records. 10. Evaluate student progress and assign grades. 11. Revise course outlines, objectives, and catalog information as needed. 12. Select appropriate texts and teaching materials. 13. Maintain office hours convenient for students and as required by college policies. 14. Participate in assessment of student learning. 15. Regular attendance is expected. 16. Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work. 17. Must adhere to all applicable confidentiality and privacy regulations, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Characteristic Duties 1. Provide C.N.A. Theory, Lab, and Clinical Instruction 2. Plan orientation, classroom instruction, clinical supervision, and program completion/certification requirements for students. 3. Provide instruction and evaluation of students in the performance of nursing skills. 4. Assist students with clinical tutoring needs and skill deficiencies. 5. Assist students in the proper use of lab equipment in practicing procedures and techniques. 6. Inform students of clinical assignments and provide guidance as needed. 7. Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff pertaining to classroom and clinical assignments. Maintain Lab Resources 1. Maintain student records of activities when required. 2. Assist with clinical prerequisite reviews. 3. Maintain operational effectiveness of A-V, computer software, lab materials, and simulator instructional units. 4. Organize supplemental content/resource materials for student and faculty use. Maintain Professional Credentials 1. Attend workshops and programs related to professional growth. Support Nursing Program and College Activities 1. Attend required meetings (faculty, division, in-service training, etc.) when appropriate or requested. 2. Attend and assist with nursing program activities such as orientation and graduation. 3. Collaborate with educational and community agencies that offer student support. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a classroom/lab setting. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required 3.Theory Course Instruction:
a. Current Certificate for IDPH Train the Trainer Workshop. 4.Clinical Course Instruction:
a. Caring for the elderly or chronically ill through employment in a nursing facility, extended care unit, geriatrics department, chronic care unit, or hospice. b.
