Instructor of Nursing

Labette Community College, Parsons KS Instructor of Nursing Labette Community College invites applications for one full-time Instructor of Nursing position to begin in August 2026. The position is based at the main campus located in Parsons, KS. The successful candidates will possess a thorough knowledge of the discipline required to share in the teaching of post-secondary students. Nursing instructors provide classroom instruction, clinical education, and clinical simulation in one or more areas of nursing practice; counsel and advise nursing students on class scheduling and academic challenges; participate in curriculum revision; and assist in program assessment. The responsibilities also encompass serving on LCC committees, maintaining office hours, and other activities required or agreed upon between faculty members and administration as specified in the LCC Master Agreement and LCC Policy and Procedures Manual. Required qualifications include Master's degree in nursing education or hold a Bachelor's degree in nursing and provide a plan of study that outlines the completion of a graduate degree in nursing education. Able to maintain a license as an RN in Kansas and any other state in which instruction will occur, the ability to effectively work with nursing faculty, clinical site staff, students, and other college staff, current knowledge of one or more nursing specialties, Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in nursing education and three (3) years of community college teaching experience. Four day instructional class schedules with additional clinical rotations that may occur on Fridays, evenings, and weekends.
