Baton Rouge General School of Nursing is seeking a dedicated MSN-prepared Nursing Faculty member to teach nursing theory, supervise clinical practice, and support student development across classroom and clinical settings. This role is essential to preparing future nurses for safe, ethical, and evidence-based practice in today's complex healthcare environment. Job Purpose The Nursing Faculty member teaches nursing theory, supervises and evaluates clinical practice, and provides meaningful feedback to enhance student learning. This role demonstrates and teaches professional nursing care while practicing within Louisiana State Board of Nursing regulations and upholding educational standards set forth by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) . What You Will Do Teach nursing theory in classroom, lab, and clinical environments. Supervise and evaluate student clinical performance and provide timely, constructive feedback. Create a supportive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and professional development. Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and educational technology to enhance learning outcomes. Support diverse learners through advisement, mentorship, and individualized instruction. Participate in curriculum development, evaluation, and continuous program improvement. Contribute to accreditation standards, quality initiatives, and academic governance. Serve as a role model for professional nursing practice, ethics, and lifelong learning. Promote a culture of safety, respect, and collaboration in academic and clinical settings. Perform other duties as assigned.
