Job Description
Nursing Faculty - Full-Time and Part-TimePositions The Department of Nursing at the University of Holy Cross invites applications for faculty positions inthe Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. These positions are pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing education,fostering academic excellence and innovative teaching that meets the needs for nurses in the community, and committing to our mission ofeducating the minds and hearts of our students. Required Education andExperience Current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Louisiana. Master's degree in Nursing as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.• At least three (3) years of clinicalexperience in the area of teaching responsibility. An exception to the Master's degree in nursing may be made if the registerednurse holds a baccalaureate degree in nursing and has three years of nursing practice in a clinical setting. The Chair will submit a requestfor approval of faculty exception to Louisiana State Board of Nursing. If LSBN approves the faculty exception, the potential faculty must beenrolled in a Master's in nursing program and have a written plan on file designating a plan to complete the Master's in nursing programwithin two (2) calendar years. Applicants who meet the qualifications listed above are invited to submit a completeapplication packet, consisting of a cover letter, resume, official transcripts, and three letters of recommendation to Interim Chair ofNursing, Shawna Mitchell-Johnson ( SMitchell@uhcno.edu ), in a single submission .
